As part of our Global Goodness initiative, the EFL Global – Kenya team embarked on a project to uplift the education infrastructure in Isiolo, Kenya. The project aimed to provide a conducive learning environment for the students of The Holy Angels School Ngaremara. The school program was initially held in a small tent without any proper facilities.
The EFL Global – Kenya team constructed a new building complex comprised of three classrooms, a staff room, and a dining hall, significantly improving the educational experience for the 75 students enrolled at the school. The new facility provided much-needed space and essential amenities to enhance the students' educational journey. The three spacious classrooms allow for better organization and provide a comfortable and stimulating learning environment. Additionally, the staff room offers a designated space for teachers to prepare lessons and collaborate, while the dining hall ensures the students have a proper area to enjoy their meals.
To commemorate the completion of the project, EFL Global – Kenya organized a grand opening ceremony. The ceremony was attended by esteemed guests, including Mr. Wasantha Ranasinghe, Director of East Africa, EFL Global, and Dr. V. Kananathan, the High Commissioner of Sri Lanka. Their presence highlighted the global support the project received.
The new building complex at The Holy Angels School Ngaremara was dedicated in loving memory of Ms. Sabrina Yusoof, who left a lasting impact on EFL Global and its sustainability initiatives. Ms. Yusoof, who passed in 2021, played a pivotal role in championing philanthropic causes and community development under the sustainability and Global Goodness initiatives at EFL Global.
EFL Global – Kenya's project in Isiolo stands as a testament to its dedication to the Kenyan community and its pledge to continue contributions in the future. The Kenya team recognizes the importance of empowering individuals through education and is determined to take on more Global Goodness projects to support communities in Kenya and beyond.
