 Key Responsibilities:
 

  • Coordinate and manage global cargo and liability claims from registration through to closure
  • Collect, validate, and maintain all supporting claim documentation
  • Liaise with country offices, customers, carriers, insurers, surveyors, and agents to ensure timely claim progression
  • Monitor claim milestones, ageing, and service level commitments, escalating overdue cases where required
  • Maintain an accurate centralised claims register and prepare regular management reports and KPI dashboards
  • Identify claims trends, recurring issues, and opportunities to improve operational controls and reduce future claims
  • Assist in developing and maintaining claims procedures, documentation standards, and continuous improvement initiatives


Qualifications:
 

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
  • 3–5 years of experience in freight forwarding, logistics operations, cargo claims, insurance, or compliance
  • Good understanding of international freight documentation and carrier liability
  • Certification in Logistics, Insurance, or Claims Management will be an added advantage
  • Strong coordination, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and follow-up abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; experience with CargoWise and Power BI will be an added advantage
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines and work effectively under pressure
  • Strong team player with the ability to collaborate across departments and manage stakeholders at all levels
